Eagle Bank is issuing this message to all debit card holders due to the recent data breach at The Home Depot. Eagle Bank will continue to monitor all debit cards for unusual activity and cancel any cards upon notification from the card issuer. What should you do? You should continue using your current card. Take extra steps to monitor account activity for any unusual transactions. Eagle Bank offers mobile banking at no charge! You can sign up at www.eaglebank.com. Should you have an unauthorized transaction appear on your account, immediately notify your local branch or call 1-800-383-8000 if after hours. Eagle Bank will issue a replacement card for you and assist you with disputing the unauthorized transaction in question.

We have been advised that we have had customers receiving a recorded message phone call. The message stated their credit/debit card had been disabled and to press 1. Eagle Bank will never call you with a recorded message. If we call you, it will be from a live person. If you have any questions, please call the branch nearest you.

Due to an increase in fraudulent debit card transactions in the past few weeks, we have implemented a PIN based approval only in the following states: California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia If you are traveling in these states please make sure you know your PIN as it will be required for transaction approval. Please make your PIN a number you can remember, and never have it written down anywhere fraudsters can obtain access. We apologize for this inconvenience but feel these steps are necessary for your protection as well as the banks.
