Congratulations to Cathey Cox on her retirement!
A native of Heber Springs, Cathey Cox is the daughter of Noel and Louise Arnold. She resides in Heber Springs with her husband of 45 years, Don. They have a daughter, Lauren and son-in-law, Bryan, and a beautiful granddaughter. Don and Cathey are members of South Crossroads Community Church in Hopewell.
Cathey currently serves as Community President and Chief Loan Officer for the Northern Market at Eagle Bank and Trust and has dedicated 49 years to the banking industry.
She is a 1976 graduate of Heber Springs High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from ASU Beebe. Cathey furthered her banking education as a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1993 and the Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma in 1990.
Throughout her career, Cathey has been deeply involved in community and professional organizations. She served two terms on the Board of the Heber Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as the 2018 President/Chairman. She is a board member of the Heber Springs Rotary Club and served as the 2023-2024 President of the club. Cathey was named Rotarian of the Year in 2019 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. She is a past President of the Heber Springs Business & Professional Women’s Club, and past President of Financial Women’s International – North Central Arkansas Group. She also served as a Board Member of the Young Banker’s Association with the Arkansas Bankers Association.
Cathey has received numerous honors for her leadership and service. She and husband Don were named Farm Family of the Year in 1991 and Citizens of the Year by the Heber Springs Masonic Lodge in 2000. Cathey was also named Woman of the Year by the Heber Springs Business & Professional Women’s Club in 1993.
Eagle Bank and Trust is truly grateful for Cathey’s many years of dedication, leadership, and service to both the bank and the community. Her commitment, professionalism, and relationships built over the years have left a lasting impact. She will be greatly missed by her coworkers, customers, and the many communities she has faithfully served throughout her remarkable career.
