    Gynelle Linder Retirement

Congratulations to Gynelle Linder on her retirement!

Gynelle began working at Arkansas National Bank/Heber Springs State Bank/Eagle Bank and Trust in September 1976 in bookkeeping and as a part-time teller. When she first started, she would come in early mornings to assist Felts Rector, a long-respected member of the staff, in opening the bank and help work the night deposits. Gynelle says Rector was a wonderful mentor.

In 1981, Gynelle became a Loan Clerk and processor for various Loan Officers in the bank. She was promoted to Loan Officer in 1991. In 1993, she had the opportunity to be a Correspondent Lender for mortgage home loans and became the Mortgage Manager/Lender for secondary market loans providing FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loan financing, and assisting many customers with their home purchase or refinancing needs. She also assisted them in opening and growing their deposit account relationships with the bank.

After almost 48 years at the bank, Gynelle proudly says she has had the wonderful opportunity to live and work in the same town, which provided both a beautiful environment to raise her family and a wonderful career. She says that not having to commute, allowed her to be able to attend her children’s functions and to be active in various local organizations. She was a member of the Single Parent Scholarship Board for 15 years and is a current member of the Cleburne County Economic Development Commission and the Cleburne County Rotary Club.

She says one of her greatest honors ever, was being voted the 2016 “Employee of the Year” by her fellow employees. Through the years, she says many wonderful customers have become some of her closest friends. Gynelle says she will miss the bank team and her customers but looks forward to spending time with her husband and family.

Please come join us on Friday June 28, 2024, at our Heber Main Street branch located at 122 W. Main St, Heber Springs, AR 72543 from 2 PM to 4 PM to celebrate Gynelle’s retirement, with cake, punch, and snacks!

Thank you Gynelle Linder, for 48 years of service to Eagle Bank! Happy Retirement!
